(St. Catharines, ON) – Does your band have what it takes to be the next big Canadian music act? Then be sure to get your entries into the 97.7 HTZ-FM 2015 Rock Search contest soon! The popular contest at the St. Catharines based radio station has been going on for over 20 years launching the careers of past winners Finger Eleven (1994), The Trews (2002), My Darkest Days (2008) and 2015 Juno nominees The Glorious Sons (2013).
The deadline for this year’s Rock Search is fast approaching – entries must be in BEFORE April 28, 2015. From May 1st to 11th listeners will get to vote on the top 16 entries. The top eight will then compete in one of two semi-final showcases and potentially the finale taking place between May 29th – June 13th. Bands must be available to compete LIVE in order to remain eligible.
This year’s grand prize is $2,500 plus a recording session at Iguana Studios which includes a producer/engineer/studio and a record, mix and master two radio-ready songs (valued at $6,000 CAD).
