With a boundless, almost frenetic energy, Toronto’s Ginger Ale & The Monowhales have built a reputation as one of the most memorable and energizing up-and-coming live acts in Canada.

Their truly infectious and wonderfully upbeat video for Home, the first single and video from their new EP BANG, has propelled Ginger Ale & The Monowhales to the next level, garnering them over 227,000 views on Facebook alone and over 100,000 plays on Spotify.

The band has also been chosen by the Province of Ontario to record a modern version of the Ontario theme song A Place To Stand which will be a big part of the upcoming ON150 celebrations.

On stage, Ginger Ale & The Monowhales believe in putting on a show – a real show – something that is impactful and which truly engages the audience. Their performances have been described as “Flaming Lips-esque”, which is a real compliment to the band.

As anyone who has witnessed Ginger Ale & The Monowhales live can attest, this is an unforgettable band.

“We do have some crazy antics. We launch pool noodles into the audience and even hand-built six confetti cannons to shoot into the crowd. The shows are raucous and very colourful, almost to the point of sensory overload. When you walk into the room with us, part of you will always be engaged.

Whether it’s your ears, eyes, or your whole body, you can’t not become a part of one of our shows”, says lead singer Sally Shaar. “We always want people in the audience to feel something, even if it’s just in their gut”.
