Canadian Hall of Famers Kim Mitchell and Loverboy takeover Artpark July 11 in Lewiston, NY

Another Canadian double bill happens next week on July 11th when Canadian Hall of Famers Kim Mitchell and Loverboy perform as part of the 2017 Tuesday Night Summer Concert Series at the Artpark Amphitheater in Lewiston, NY. On June 20th Canadians 54-40 and Randy Bachman played Artpark.

Mitchell, who once fronted Canadian band Max Webster before going solo, is best known for such hits as Go For Soda, Patio Lanterns, Rock and Roll Duty, Easy To Tame, All We Are and much more. With Max Webster Mitchell released seven studio albums and 11 studio albums as a soloist. Mitchell is the recipient of three Juno Awards – in 1983 for Most Promising Male Vocalist of the Year, 1987 for Album of the Year: Shakin’ Like A Human Being and in 1990 for Male Vocalist of the Year.

Loverboy formed in 1979 in Calgary, Alberta. Their hits include Turn Me Loose and Working for the Weekend. They have become arena rock staples and are still heard on many classic rock and classic hits radio stations across Canada. Throughout the 1980s, Loverboy accumulated numerous hit songs in Canada and the United States, earning four multi-platinum albums and selling millions of records. In total, Loverboy has released nine studio albums with the latest being 2014’s Unfinished Business.
