Seneca Queen Theatre: A Great Place To Catch A Movie or See A Concert

Seneca Queen Theatre(Niagara Falls, ON) – In the heart of downtown Niagara Falls, Canada is an old movie theatre, Seneca Queen Theatre. Built in 1941 and originally owned by Famous Players theatre and later, in 1984, by Cineplex Odeon, the theatre stayed in business until 1995.

In the late 90’s the theatre re-opened as a dance club for a short time before being closed for many years. A couple of theatre companies tried to revive the theatre but those were short-lived.

Then along came two brothers, Phil and Trevor Ritchie. The two now run the facility and re-opened it as a movie theatre and live music venue. The theatre is currently showing TIFF movies and hosting a number of concerts.

With some great tribute acts already booked, Seneca Queen Theatre will also feature some bigger names including The Spoons (March 21) and former Triumph frontman Rik Emmett (May 2).

On March 7, 2015 Northern Pikes frontman Jay Semko was on stage for an acoustical night of music and storytelling.

The venue itself is nicely renovated and a great place to go to catch a movie or see a concert.
