Fresh off a break and the European leg of their tour, Marianas Trench brought a fresh stage show to Kitchener. They played to a sold-out show on January 24th at Kitchener’s Centre in the Square – the crowd was on their feet the second the band took to the stage. Although the band focused on songs from their newest album (Phantoms, released March 2019) long-time fans did not leave disappointed.
Big opening sequences, fantastic instrumentation, and at least one trip in the crowd have been elements of Marianas Trench shows for as long as I can remember, and they did not disappoint in this regard.
Show highlights included Josh Ramsay (vocals, guitar) playing a solo version of Good to You (Masterpiece Theatre), tours of the crowd for Celebrity Status (Masterpiece Theatre) and Stutter (Ever After), and an amazing encore that was not to be missed.
Fan favourite singles included Rhythm of Your Heart and Pop 101.
Worth the trip for any fan of this band!
