The first of two nights.
Rick Springfield returned to the Avalon Ballroom in Niagara Falls for the first of two nights in support of his latest album Rocket Science. The show started off with Light This Party Up, the first of four tracks he played off the new album (he also played Down, That One and Miss Mayhem).
Aside from playing his hits – Jessie’s Girl, Don’t To Strangers, Human Touch, Don’t Talk To Strangers and Affair of the Heart – Springfield played a few covers including the Sammy Hagar penned I’ve Done Everything For You (which Springfield recorded in 1981 for his album Working Class Dog). Other covers he played were Katy Perry’s Roar and Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off.
Springfield was in fine form and had fans up and dancing throughout the show.
It was a great night of music and fun!
