(Oshawa, ON) – One week from tonight, Durham region Metal band Six Side Die will be a part of The Awareness vinyl release party line up, performing at the Moustache Club on August 13, 2016. What makes this show extra special is the fact that they will be performing their highly anticipated unreleased track called Schadenfreude. This song, a year in the making, depicts a hypothetical rival between Nikola Tesla and Thomas Edison. Front man Bryan Crouch (formerly from Hail The Villains), lead guitarist Anthony Xander, bassist / vocalist Pat Kavanagh and drummer Kelly Voelkel conceptualized a grandiose idea of writing a song that breaks all the stereo typical writing guidelines. 20+ minutes in length, it will be considered the longest Rock and Roll song specifically with un-repeating parts, to which they are hoping to have certified by Guinness World Records.
These past few months the band has been posting snippets of the song on social media, peaking followers curiosity.
I was privy to get an advance listen to the song courtesy of Bryan Crouch. A brilliantly written song that keeps you interested with it’s ever changing tempos, changes in melodic values and their incredible musicianship. Since it’s a song that has no repeating parts, I look forward the official release (date to be determined) so that I can really absorb everything within this creative, well thought out piece of music. My first impression left me lost for words. I knew I had just listened to something that would be deemed special and most likely well received by the masses.
Music Life Magazine will be there covering the Six Side Die performance. Stay tuned for images and review of the show.
