Hamilton’s very own ’90s alternative-rock trio Juno award-winning The Killjoys hit the stage at Bridgeworks Saturday, December 10, celebrating their 30th anniversary. Mike Trebilcock (vocals and guitar), Shelley Woods (bass), and Gene Champagne (drums), shared the stage with Juno-winner, Luke Bentham, from The Dirty Nil, opening the night.
The set list included Killjoys’ classics such as Dana, Rave and Drool, Soaked and Today I Hate Everyone. A deep cut from the band’s Starry record, Space Girl, also made its way into the set featuring drummer Gene Champagne on guitar and vocals. The Killjoys are back and with that injected some brand new music into their set. (Full set list in photo gallery).
In early 2023 the band will be hitting the studio to record new material. They have added some more Ontario shows scheduled for early February performing at:
The Bitmore – Oshawa, Ontario – Fri Feb 3 – Tickets
