Revisiting Creedence brought the music of Creedence Clearwater Revival to life on the OLG Stage at Fallsview Casino on April 12th. Revisiting Creedence is dedicated to preserving the legacy of Creedence Clearwater Revival and is fronted by Dan McGuinness on vocals and Kurt Griffey on lead guitar—both of whom previously toured with CCR’s founding members Stu Cook and Doug “Cosmo” Clifford. The performance was a heartfelt homage to one of rock’s most enduring catalogs. The band – rounded out by Mathew Scarpelli on bass, and Ron Wikso on drums—delivered a powerful and faithful tribute to CCR’s greatest hits.
The setlist was packed with fan favorites like “Born On The Bayou,” “Green River,” “Down On The Corner,” and “Proud Mary.” The band also slowed things down for acoustic versions of “Long As I Can See The Light,” “Who’ll Stop The Rain,” “Cotton Fields,” and “Have You Ever Seen The Rain?” Each song was played with energy and respect for the original sound. From start to finish, Revisiting Creedence gave fans a fun, nostalgic night filled with classic rock hits and great musicianship.
